About the panel
The Global Forum for Re-Humanizing Education welcomes you to join us for the second webinar facilitated by the Activities Committee of the Executive Council. Inspired by the experiences of our three panelists, this meaningful conversation will think about what it means to humanize AI across educational contexts.
The intent is to start a dialogue about AI and its relationship to humanizing education, particularly in relation to ideas set forth by the Declaration of the Global Forum.

About the panelists
Liza Sharmin a Dean for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. She is also Professor in the Department of English. She has taught Literature, Linguistics, English Language Teaching, and Energy and Sustainability Policy (ESP) for over two decades. Her research interests include ESP, syllabus design, materials development, technology-integrated teaching, equity in education, and teacher education. She has published widely in books, renowned national, and international journals.
Robert Kalima is a Centre Manager at the Centre of Open, Distance and eLearning (CODeL) at Mzuzu University, Malawi. Dr. Kalima earned his PhD in Education from Rhodes University in 2023. He has previously worked as the Student Support Services Manager at CODeL and as a Lecturer in Instructional Media and Technology at Domasi College of Education. Dr. Kalima’s research interested include distance education, particularly in pedagogy in nontraditional settings, including distance education.
Mario Chauca is the first Peruvian Member of the Global Council at the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society (IEOM). A member of several prestigious awards and scholarship committees, Dr. Chauca’s international dedication to fostering critical thinking, research, and best practices significantly connects industry professionals, academics, and students to share knowledge. Dr. Chauca has taken first place at INTERCON and CONEIMERA, as well as receiving a nomination for the Graña y Montero Prize for Research in Peruvian Engineering.

present time, following highly successful recent international events. Bringing together voices from
across educational contexts who are concerned with the present conditions of education, The Forum

of education and the place of humanity in it.
