About the panel
<\/strong>The Global Forum for Re-Humanizing Education welcomes you to join us for the first webinar facilitated by the Activities Committee of the Executive Council. Inspired by the experiences of our three panelists, this meaningful conversation will think about Peace Education as it is enacted in Brazil, Nepal, and Costa Rica.
Recognizing the diverse cultural and social contexts of the panelists, this webinar will address how we view ideas of peace and how our collective and individual actions can improve society through positive peace and nonviolence.
The intent is to start a dialogue and create a community where we reflect together about the changes we wish to implement to re-flourish the educational process and nourish the fundamental human values that we aspire to strengthen and spread as mentioned in the Declaration of the Global Forum.

About the panelist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regina Proen\u00e7a<\/strong> is a Brazilian educator with a degree in Philosophy, a Master\u2019s in Communication and Culture, and training in Tibetan Medicine. She is the founder and coordinator of the Fora da Caixa Cultural Collective. She has an ongoing Peace Education program with teenagers since 2018 where she develops and implements actions focused on Positive Peace, Ecocitizenship and Emotional Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chiranjibi Bhandari<\/strong> is from Nepal. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Conflict, Peace, and Development Studies, Tribhuvan University. He is also a fellow for the Young Leaders Neighbourhood First Fellowship (2022) at St. Stephen\u2019s College in New Delhi.
He is also a PhD Candidate at South Asian University, Delhi. A significant aspect of his career has been serving as an operations officer during Nepal\u2019s peace process, where he has played a crucial role in managing arms and ex-combatants during the critical phases of integration and social reintegration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luiza Duarte<\/strong> is Brazilian and she holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Peace Education from the University for Peace (United Nations) in Costa Rica. She previously worked at the Conflict Mediation Coordination Office of the Rio de Janeiro Public Defender\u2019s Office in Brazil, where she gained extensive experience in facilitating Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and collaborative approaches. A Law graduate from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, she is currently part of the facilitation team at Peaceflow, an organization dedicated to violence prevention, conflict transformation, and NVC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
